Glitchy channels..... who's fault????

For the past week or so some of my channels have been really glitchy even to the point of scrambling for 10 secs at times. It has been absolutely awful watchng SlySports this afternoon
Is this an issue with my gift provider? or could it be down to my setup, internet connection etc?

Just want to get a bit of info before I start going to town on the guy Im getting the gift from
