New member - no email address confirmation

Hi
Looks like a great forum. Just setting up my Skybox F5. So far so good.

Three questions:

1, I didn't get an email from the forum to confirm my email address - I did get two emails but neither had a link to confirm the email address.

2, the F5 is on the network and is authenticating against the server but I can connect to it on the LAN. What services does the f5 offer, eg FTP.

3, the f5 is a little basic. Is there a tablet / phone application that can be used to review tv listings and send recording timings to the box?
