Had IPTV before but a loads of rubbish I am after a quality stream. With all world sport and tv on and all Saturday games. Anyone reccomend anyone with the best line.

EPL games on new ROI sky sports?
not sure if many of you know but a few Sat 3pm EPL games are going to be shown on the ROI sly sports 5 channel.
Does anyone have a way of scanning the new channels in? Ive tried running ABM and nothing. Wondering if the whitelist or something needs updating?

I'm Zak new to all of this and find it very interesting. Trying to read up and understand what everyone is talking about and make sense of it. Trying not to ask any stupid questions yet. I'll save those for when I have read more posts and have a smattering of understanding. Though I was always told the only stupid question is the one you DON'T ASK..! lol I have just cancelled my sky and have VM broadband. So will need to work out a way to play with some of the toys you have mentioned and hopefully get one working the way I want.
I have to say I don't know very much about this .. sounds like gobildy gook. So I have a long way to go... in a galaxy far ...far away....

Hello From The USA!
Hello everyone,
There is still a strong satellite TV hobbyist group in the US but we have a hard time finding receivers that will receive our signals properly. We've recently discovered the Freesat V7 which I bought along with several others and it works so good we're buying Goldens and Supers now. I'm the first to buy a Super and my Super is on the way, will get it in about a week or so now. One other member of the group bought a Golden but I don't think he's received it yet.
Our Openbox S9's stopped receiving three of our best channels, the signal goes from 0 to 70 constantly and it turns out it was the S9 because the V7 HD receives them just fine. One is called "Decades" which is a retro type channel that runs lots of older programming and movies. Another is also a retro channel called "Heroes & Icons". Then we lost "Movies!" which is a great movie channel. I'd say most of us spend 50% of our viewing time on those channels.
We don't know the exact cause and some members have examined the streams. There doesn't appear to be anything different but they are not stable at all. For one thing they have 4MHz spacing and the channels would also switch back and forth. Decades would become H&I and then switch back every few seconds. We tested all of our equipment for months trying to fix it (since November 2015), wasted a lot of time.
There are a couple of other channels the V7 produces skips in the AC3 audio, not bad but it does. I hope the Super is able to get all of them, it looks like a fine receiver. We'll use SCART adapters to output other formats we can use. We wouldn't be able to make use of the T2 tuner in the Golden at all, that's why I chose the Super with the loop out. Another member ordered a Super today.
We have very limited channels so when we lose one, it matters, especially if it's three of our best channels. Everything we do is legal, they are FTA channels no keys or anything like that is needed. Many of us have big dishes, 6-12 feet because most of our channels are on C band with Ku being loaded with religion and news. There are a few Ku entertainment channels and great radio stations. Lots of us have motorized 30-40 inch Ku dishes and I have a nice old Primestar 40 inch dish I'm going to install and eventually motorize. Right now I'm using a 7.5 foot C/Ku motorized dish. We do all we can to keep the hobby alive but losing channels causes some people to quit. Without a large group of us we get ignored as a market.

Set with mgcamd1.38. & cccam2.3 and with all mg_cfg and newcamd.list and CCcam.cfg files needed in place! Just edit your details in and reboot! DO NOT SEND YOUR FILES IN. EDIT WHATS ALREADY THERE
OK. Basically u need a usb or hard drive that can be wiped and devoted to the box.
That will store program guide and recordings and timeshift to rewind TV etc.
4gb is minimum I'd recommend. But more is better.
Once image is flashed and u edit ur newcamd.list file in usr/keys or CCcam.cfg in usr/keys with FileZilla.
Get the permanent USB/hdd onto a PC and quick format it.

flash with the zgemma folder only on a formatted usb stick turn of box using back power button insert usb in back and switch on using back button then box should change from usb to flash.

To install picons if you want
you will need to download srp picons because snp picons will not work
Picons are the little channels logos you see on some screen shots and these instructions guide you through adding them to your EPG and info bars.
First of all check that you have no previous picons installed and if so remove them
From full screen TV:
Press the Portal button -> Red button (remove plugins) -> Highlight +Picons and press OK
Now any picon lists you see in that section need removing. Highlight, press ok and select yes.
Once you have removed any existing picon sets exit right back to full screen TV.
From full screen TV:
Press the Portal button -> Green button to download plugins -> Highlight +feeds and press OK -> Highlight picons.xyz and press OK -> Press OK again
Once you are returned to the list of plugings Press Exit once (the box may appear to hang) press Exit again, Press and hold Standby button and select Restart to restart the box.
When your box has restarted:
Press the Portal button -> Green button to download plugins -> Highlight +picons -> Press the OK button
Scroll right down the list and highlight: srp-full.400x240-370x210.light.on.transparent Press OK, Press OK again. Highlight and Select your external USB device
This takes a little while to download and extract due to there being 7000+ picons and may appear to have crashed. How long it takes will also depend on the speed of your USB device. While you are waiting be patient wait and wait some more.
When you are returned to the menu, Press the Exit button twice to return to full screen TV
Now press your EPG button and in the top left hand corner your should see the channel logo. It will also show up when you press the OK button from full screen TV
Changing the resolution of the box
This backup was made using the resolution for 720 tvs
To change this menu. setup, video, basic settings
go to mode and press right to change from 720 to what your tv supports

On right hand side locate usr Double click it Then Keys Double click It You should now see 3 files CCcam.cfg, Mg_cfg and Newcamd.list On Newcamd list Left click/right click Then click View/Edit (It may ask you what program you wish to view the file choose Notepad) You will see 2 samples of what your line should look like either edit your line details or Delete up to CWS = (space either side of =)
Copy and past your line Less the N: in its place
Disconnect from FileZilla By Clicking the X just under bookmarks top of page
Press blue button on remote control >.Softcam press right Select soft cam panel Mgcamd 1.38 should show as default press green to restart
For Clines
Again usr/keys on box Your line goes Complete with the C in CCcam.cfg and start in Softcam panel press right to change cam

Myself and Dangerous have noticed a problem with ATV 5.3 on the new Xtrend 8500. A software bug affecting cable recording if 2 or more tuners.
We know of about 8 boxes between us and all was fine before... :)

Myself and Dangerous have noticed a problem with ATV 5.3 on the new Xtrend 8500. A software bug affecting cable recording if 2 or more tuners.
We know of about 8 boxes between us and all was fine before... :)

Can't get subtitles to work on OpenVix
Please can someone tell me how to enable subtitles for OpenVix.
Some reason they won't show on Dsayers image which they did before when i first downloaded his backup.
I changed auto language selection > subtitles all to english but they still won't show.
Have i missed something or not enabled something?

zgemma h2s problem
If I had hair I think I would of pulled it out by now!!!! I had my zgemma working perfectly the other day until my boy decided to accidentally do a full factory reset on it( god knows how cos he's only 14 months old) anyway I've been trying to reflash my box but to no avail! I noticed my USB stick was not being read on my computer so popped to the shop to get a new one and thought to myself let's get a 64 g one so I can flash the box then use it for recordings, I've put the extracted zgemma file for flashing on there and put it in the box but with no joy(the box just boots up without flashing) I think the problem lies with the USB stick being 64 g because you can't format it to fat32???Could any of you brainy people out there confirm this to be the problem or anything else it could be and how to fix it,cheers

Recently got into the whole satellite thing as I heard about what could be done with it. I'm pretty impressed to say the least although my journey hasn't been completely free of problems. Hence why I came here. Knowledge is power!
On the other hand, I'm hoping I'll be able to contribute something to this community and maybe help others too, aswell as learn more about this stuff.
