usb recording won't ff or rw

Hi folks.
I recenrly got a Skybox A3 for downstairs.
Problem is when i record on to 32gb 3.0 Lexar
usb flash drive i can't fast forward or rewind any recordings..Also will only record from rear usb on box, doesn't recognise usb device on front usb slot!
Take usb drive upstairs to Skybox f3 and fast forward/rewind working fine.
Hmmm.
