Just got an F5S box and all seems quite good! I've just got a couple of questions that I'd be really grateful if anyone could answer:
1. When I first turn my box on, it takes anywhere between 2-15 minutes for the thing to work. At first it says 'no signal' but then randomly starts working. Just wondering if anyone knows what's causing this, and if there's anything I can do to sort it? It's been a nightmare rushing home just in time for the 5pm World Cup kick-offs only to have this problem!
2. Some channels are perfect but others scramble a lot. I watch the crime channel (CI) every so often. It works fine most of the time, but for some reason tonight it has been scrambling every five to ten seconds. I'm not sure whether this is down to the channel, the server it runs on, or simply my internet connection?
3. For performance issues, is it important to have a top quality internet connection, and would I benefit massively from going fibre optic? I'm thinking that the scrambling issue will be less frequent if I have a top internet speed/connection.
4. Is there a way for me to look at the TV guide and check the programme synopsis' without having to actually change channels? For example, I can flick through the channels and click the 'Info' button on the remote, but when I scroll down to the next programme it changes the channel. It would be great if I could check the 'Info' button while not leaving the current channel. Is this possible?
5. And most importantly, what channels are the Saturday 3pm Premier League games shown on? :)
