CS server setup help!!!!

hi guys am looking to setup a CS server PC based i would like to know how its best to go about doing so,,

ive looked at some threads already on this forum but they all seem to be dreambox based.

i dont have a dreambox but do have an old pc that i can install linux on, i was hoping i could do it with this..

any help would be much appreciated
